Frequently Asked Questions

  • My office is located inside at 1000 W. Hwy 6 Suite 140 Waco, Tx 76712. It is inside the Becoming Counseling office. Step in the front doors and make yourself comfortable in the reception area. You can make yourself a cup of coffee or tea and relax.

  • I offer both options to fit your lifestyle! For local clients who prefer face-to-face connection, my physical office is conveniently located on W Highway 6 inside the Becoming Counseling suite in Waco, Texas. If you have a busy schedule, lack childcare, or live elsewhere in the state, I also provide secure, HIPAA-compliant online therapy (telehealth) for women located anywhere in Texas.

  • I am in network with Aetna, Cigna and Optum. If you choose not to use any of those insurances, or do not carry them, I charge $130 for an hour session. You might check with your insurance company on your out of network benefits. I’m happy to give you a superbill at the end of each month.

  • We will meet in the reception area and walk up to my office and get to know each other. I will ask a lot of questions during our session to learn all about you! You are welcome to ask me any questions you want to. If there’s a question you don’t want to answer, just let me know. I want you to feel comfortable and safe.

  • My approach to anxiety counseling is collaborative, warm, and structured around your unique needs. We don't just talk about your stress we actively work to understand it. Utilizing evidence-based strategies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed care, we will identify your specific anxiety triggers, unpack why your nervous system is stuck in "fight-or-flight," and practice real-life coping tools so you can finally relax and feel present again.

  • Not at all. Many of the women I work with in my Waco practice do not have a formal diagnosis like PTSD, but they are dealing with the lingering weight of painful past experiences, chronic stress, or high-functioning anxiety. If you feel constantly overwhelmed, find it hard to set boundaries, or notice that past emotional hurts are impacting your current relationships and daily peace, you can absolutely benefit from therapy.

  • That’s a very hard question to answer. Therapy with me is very individualized. It depends on what is bothering you and how long it has been going on. Each client is different. We will work together to make a path forward to help you live better.
